Hot off the Hook

Most of my project ideas come from places other than My brain. I wish I could design these items, write the pattern, create and post as quickly as others...But that just isn't going to happen.
Ravelry is my 'go to' place for inspiration and patterns. Some are Free, some Not.  If you aren't a member yet...follow this link...http://www.ravelry.com/invitations
and create an account. I can assure you wouldn't be disappointed.
For some reason I have a problem following just one pattern. I usually end up combining 2 or more patterns to get the finished product I want. When I do this...I will try to explain what I did different. Patterns I found in books will have the details beside picture.
Thank you for stopping by and Happy Hooking :)

2.  Erins Blanket

Afghans on the Double (102662)
from the Crochet Treasury Series
Published by Leisure Arts, Inc. and Oxmoor House, Inc.

Pattern: Discriminating Taste
page 56

This one went to my niece, Erin.
I love this pattern! It is fun to make and the color combinations are endless. Maybe someday I will get a chance to make one for myself.
I was gonna post a link on where to buy this book, but if you google  Afghans on the Double (102662) you will find different sites and prices to choose from.

3.  Shauns Afghan

Afghans on the Double (102662)
from the Crochet Treasury Series
Published by Leisure Arts, Inc. and Oxmoor House, Inc.

Pattern: Blended Rainbow
page 84

My nephew, Shaun,  is the owner of this colorful afghan. Using to strands at a time, this is a great scrap buster.

4.  Ian's Afghan

Ian actually got his afghan Christmas 2012. My sister asked me to make one to match his new livingroom set.  This is what he ended up with.

5.  Jon's Afghan

All the leftover yarn from Shauns Afghan went into this classic ripple I made for my brother-in-law, Jon.  Every time I asked him what color afghan he wanted he said a different color. So he ended up with a rainbow.
